Pianella, Abruzzo
Four generations, one family name.
Marina Palusci is a family business that has grown olives and produced extra virgin olive oil in the village of Pianella for four generations, long before it became known for anything else.
Hand-picked, quickly pressed
A tradition of doing it the harder way.
The olives, mostly the native Dritta variety, are still hand-picked and pressed within 12 hours of harvest using cold extraction, a slower, more demanding process that preserves freshness, aroma, and the oil's naturally high polyphenol content.
Today
Still small, still exacting.
Marina Palusci's oils have gone on to earn international recognition for their exceptionally high polyphenol content, standing among the most potent, award-winning extra virgin olive oils to come out of Abruzzo.
